Highly detailed 3D scan of the S65B40 and manual transmission from the e92 M3. Includes an .IGES with CAD primitives fit to various features of the engine to aid in your design process. This engine is missing most of the ancillaries as well as the oil filter housing.
The oil filter housing and LH/RH headers are included as separate STL files, these are in a separate coordinate system, please use the CAD primitives to align them.
Global coordinate system is aligned to the crank pulley allowing for easy placement in your CAD suite.
The BMW S65B40 is a 4.0-liter naturally aspirated V8 engine that powered the E90, E92, and E93 BMW M3 models from 2007 to 2013, marking the first and only time a V8 engine was used in a production M3.
